Full-featured, Unified Serial 0-channel RAID card that uses the Adaptec Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) I/O controller on the motherboard to connect SATA or SAS drives.

The Adaptec RAID 4000 Unified Serial zero-channel RAID (ZCR) card offers the ideal solution for customers who want an affordable, flexible upgrade path to advanced RAID for SATA and SAS drives. It provides an affordable, high-performance solution for businesses requiring data protection. The low- profile form factor is ideal for workstations and high-density server environments.

The Adaptec RAID 4000 card takes advantage of the system motherboard's existing SAS I/O ports by using complementary logic designed on the motherboard. This innovative approach eliminates the need for a SAS I/O chip on the card, reducing its cost.
